Indian Army has reportedly given green signal to release the video footage of the surgical strikes conducted on the terror launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Army’s green signal for releasing video evidence came amidst the demands of evidence by the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Opposition parties have been demanding the evidence in order to shut the mouth of Pakistan, which continues to deny the happening of any sort of surgical strikes.
So far, only an official statement on surgical strike has been made by Director-General of Military Operations (DGMO). Reportedly, Indian army has video footage as well as photographs, shot by ground troops as well as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), to prove the cross-border surgical strikes. But, the Indian government has been shying away from the releasing video footage thinking it may further worsen the tension atmosphere at the India-Pakistan border.
The final call on releasing the video evidence will be taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led cabinet and top officials after a high-level meeting.
