Now that Chandrababu’s government is halfway through its 5-year term, the heat surrounding the 2019 assembly elections has already started heating up. Babu’s arch rival and leader of opposition YS Jagan is trying to find out all possible ways to takeover the CM chair in 2019.
Meanwhile, political equations in the state are expected to be strongly impacted by the entry of film star turned politician Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party. In fact, Pawan’s role in giving TDP an edge over the YSRCP was quite evident in 2014 and with Pawan’s entry into active politics, the battle will get even more intense.
Now, a popular Telugu news channel conducted a poll recently in which it has sought the viewers’ mandate in choosing their favorite CM in 2019. A majority of people wished to see Chandrababu as their future CM with 58.08„… votes, while YS Jagan received a paltry 41.92„….
Furthermore, as many as 46.19„… of viewers said that they are happy with Chandrababu’s administration, while 20.27„… felt that Babu’s governance is not satisfactory and 33.54„… chose they can’t say anything.
On the other hand, 34.07„… said they are happy with Jagan’s work as the leader of opposition, while 33.13„… said they were not impressed with the YSRCP President and 32.80„… opted for the ‘can’t say’ option.
Surprisingly, Pawan Kalyan attracted extreme responses towards his work as a part-time politician, as 47.68„… of people said they are happy with Pawan, while 52.32„… said they are disappointed with him.
