Chennai can expect more rainfall after the evening on Sunday downpour as there is an ideal wind flow coupled with perfect climatic situations for the next few days.
“General rain across entire North Tamil Nadu is assumed for the next few evenings. Though the sunny weather is assumed during the day, storm positions are building up as the low-level wind converges in North TN coast with the monsoon low up north,” says Weather blogger Pradeep John.
The regional meteorological department Director, S Balachandran said that the temperatures are to remain normal, ranging from 35 degree Celsius to 38 degree Celsius. Some regions in South Tamil Nadu can also receive a large amount of rainfall, he added.
Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur, Villupuram, Kanyakumari, and Chennai districts have been receiving rainfall below normal, mostly due to heat conditions that oppose monsoon rains.
