Congress leader and former MP G Vivek mulling to return to TRS? Will he be the TRS candidate for the bye-election to Warangal MP Seat? Though these speculations have been in circulation ever since Kadiam Srihari was inducted into the KCR Cabinet as Deputy Chief Minister, these gained momentum as Vivek called on the Chief Minister in the latter’s office and soon after the government issued a GO saying that it would construct a memorial for seniormost Congress leader G Venkataswamy at the necklace road.
The GO further said the works on the construction of the memorial will be taken up by the HMDA. Vivek talking to media promptly denied the speculations and said he had called on the CM only to submit a memorandum asking him to expedite the construction of memorial.
The state Congress leaders feel that there was more than what meets the eye to this meeting. They say that Vivek had tried for the post of TPCC president but as the Congress high command does not appear to be inclined to make any change at this point of time, Vivek might have taken a decision to join the TRS and contest from the Warangal Lok Sabha constituency. While TRS is maintaining silence on this issue, the fact remains that the party is looking for a strong Dalit leader and Vivek could be such a leader.
