Girl injects

Kolar: A class eight girl student allegedly injected a dozen children with distilled water using a real syringe in Srinivaspur, Kolar district, Karnataka on Monday, in the guise of a doctor.

According to police, the girl bunked school on Monday afternoon and reached her neighbouring village to inject at least 12 children, including two six-month-old babies with distilled water. The precocious student laced a veterinary drug with the water while injecting the gullible children.

Incidentally, a health worker caught her and informed her parents about her actions.

The injected kids were rushed to Jalappa Hospital in Kolar and were kept under a 36 hours observation before being discharged on Wednesday.

Following a complaint by the family members of the injected children, the police have registered a case and investigating.

The overzealous student’s act has shocked the villagers.
