Furthermore, accommodation allowance has been increased from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 50,000, while the maximum pension has been hiked up to Rs. 50,000 from the previous Rs. 25,000.

Vehicles purchase and housing loans have been increased to Rs. 20 lakhs as against the previous allowance of Rs. 10 lakhs.
This pay hike will cost the state exchequer an additional expenditure of Rs. 30,62,31,300. There was a mixed response from the opposition leaders regarding the hike. Several leaders of the YSRCP, Congress and the Communist parties have criticized the increase in the salaries of the legislatures.
