With the Jana Sena President and film hero Pawan Kalyan announced shifting his political base to Andhra Pradesh by registering his vote in Eluru, the BJP AP unit also plunged into action to strengthen the party.
BJP has been maintaining distance with Pawan after the film star raised a banner of revolt against the saffron party for the delay in according special status to Andhra Pradesh. Since then, BJP considered the Janasena leader as arch rival. In 2014 election, Pawan campaignd in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Party national leader Siddarthnath Singh made it clear that the BJP snapped ties with Pawan and it will not sail with the film hero party in next elections.
From now onwards, Janasena will be the main rival to BJP as TDP has been it’s political partner at the centre and Congress had lost its strength after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. The BJP is already preparing political strategies to counter Janasena on AP development issues.
