Journalists Silent Protest Against Telangana Government

Media As the Telangana Government has restricted the entry of journalists into the Secretariat, Media personnel staged a silent protest demonstration on Friday in front of Telangana Chief Minister’s block in the Secretariat.

The journalists who had free access to all the blocks of the Secretariat have been denied entry. Hence they staged a protest against the proposal of Telangana Government to bar their entry into the campus for smooth functioning of the administration. Questioning KCR’s government over the move, the press photographers and crew of various TV channels stood silently for 15 minutes.

In the meantime, a meeting has been convened to be held on Saturday at the Press Academy on Chapel Road where Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will discuss the implementation of the norm along with issuing of health cards to media persons with the editorial heads of newspapers and TV channels and office bearers of journalist unions.
