KCR elaborates on redesigning irrigation projects


Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao who took up redesigning Irrigation projects in the Telangana Assembly on Thursday spoke at length on the history of irrigation projects in the state. Pointing out that Kakatiyas, Kuthub Shahs and Asif Jahis realised the importance of building irrigation projects in Telangana region, KCR said that the projects had been neglected by consequent governments. The Chief Minister continued that the region has dried up due to the environmental changes and the people in the state are struggling for smooth water supply.

Elaborating the need to redesign the irrigation projects, KCR spoke about the consequences that could lead to if measures are not taken soon.
