Telangana Industries minister KT Rama Rao pleaded with his father and Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to strip off some minister portfolios holding by him as he was burdened more with huge responsibilities.
At present, KTR was holding key portfolios like Industries, Information Technology, Municipal Administration and Urban Development and NRIs affairs.
Since he has been busy visiting countries and attending industrial and IT summits in the country, the minister has no time to address the issues in Municipal Administration and particularly in Greater Hyderabad municipal corporation affairs.
He drew strong criticism from all sections of people recently for his failure in addressing civic issues particularly road repairs, demolition of illegal buildings and his utter failure in making success the 100 day action plan for GHMC development.
TRS leaders say KTR desperately wanted to get relief from the Municipal Administration portfolio as he failed to allocate sufficient time to the particular department. However, KCR sought some time to provide relief to KCR until a suitable candidate is identified for the post.
