narendra modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has passed orders his Council of Ministers not to carry their smartphones to Cabinet Meetings. The Circular issued by the Cabinet Secretariat reads, ‘It has been decided that smart-phones/mobile phones henceforth will not be permitted inside meeting venues of Cabinet/Cabinet committees’.

Intelligence Bureau and Security Agencies cautioned Centre that Pakistan and Chinese Hackers might target Indian Ministers and Officials in key positions. Union Government sees a possibility of gadgets used by the Ministers getting hacked after the surgical strikes carried out by Army across the Line of Control (LoC). This decision was taken to prevent data theft and leakage of matters discussed in the cabinet meetings.

Recently, Even Britain banned smartphones at Cabinet Meetings as there is every chance of recording and cyber attacks.
