Social media users have become accustomed to either praise or spread negativity by just seeing the content on social media and not even bothering to search for the truth. A senior bank cashier has become the latest victim or shall we say ‘laughing stock’ on social media after a highly enthusiastic person shared a malicious video of hers.
This video of a lady cashier at a bank working at snail pace went viral after it was uploaded on Facebook with a caption saying, “fastest cashier in the world”. In a matter of one week, the video has been viewed close to 15 million times. Many users slammed her via comments saying it was because of such callous staff that people have to wait for hours in banks and government offices.
After the video went viral, a social activist bothered to meet her and came up with the hard-hitting truth of hers.
The woman in question Premlata Shinde, a widow, is a Bank of Maharashtra, Pune employee. She has reportedly survived a paralysis stroke and two heart attacks. In fact, when the video was being shot, Premlata had just resumed work after undergoing medical treatment.
The Pune branch she is working at has reportedly set up an additional cash counter so that customers need not wait because of her slow pace. It was also mentioned that she had enough paid leaves but Premlata, who is to retire in February 2017, chose to work as she wanted to retire with dignity.
She has a son who lives abroad and Premlata makes a living and takes care of all her expenses for the treatment with her hard earned money.
Here is one inspirational story that should be spread to motivate women across the world but unfortunately she received the undeserving humiliation. However, she taught a tough lesson to people who believe whatever is seen on internet and spread venom through opinions.
