Pakistani hackers hacked AP TS websites
Pakistani hackers have hacked the websites of the Centre, AP, Telangana, Gujarat and Odisha. Stating that it is a message to the Indian government regarding alleged police atrocities in Kashmir they defaced the websites of the drug control administration, agriculture department and the forest development corporation. Around 22 sites were hacked.
Cyberabad cyber crime police station assistant commissioner S. Jairam said, “We received the complaint filed by Telangana Information Technology Association that 22 websites belonging to the Indian government were hacked by Pakistani hackers. A complaint was lodged by the NIC in New Delhi. So we are not registering a case here.”
TITA president M. Sundeep Kumar said, “They put up a list of the hacked websites on the wall of their Facebook page.”
The hacked websites belong to the Telangana Animal Husbandry Department (http://tgahd.nic.in/), the Orissa State Women Commission (http://oscw.nic.in/), the Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (http://ophwc.nic.in/) and the Telangana Forest Development Corporation Limited (http://apfdc.tg.nic.in).
“The Indian government has to increase the size of its cyber security team and introduce high quality, cost effective cyber security education and training methods to develop a robust cyber security workforce. This will also foster job growth in the cyber security Industry,” said Sundeep.
