Pawan Kalyan is organising a huge public meeting in Anantapur today ( Nov 10). This comes in the wake of Pawan’s previous promise made to the public that he would continue to fight till Centre accords Special Category Status to the truncated state of Andhra Pradesh.
Apparently, Pawan opined that drought-hit Anantapur would be benefited if SCG status is accorded to the state. Pawan is of opinion that the district would be rescued from the droughts with the funds granted with the SCG. This is said to be the reason behind Pawan choosing Anantapur as the venue for his next public meeting.
Although originally the meeting in Anantpur was to have in October 1st week, it was deferred considering then prevailing tense atmosphere at the borders of the nation. “As Indian Army was occupied in carrying out surgical strikes at the border, Pawan felt that it wasn’t the right time to organize political meeting and postponed,” said Jana Sena’s press statement.
The press statement further added that Jana Sena would also fight against the woes of common man besides vouching for Special Category Status. It may be recalled that Pawan had lend his support to the farmers of Tundurru in West Godavari district against Godavari Mega Food Park. Looks like, Pawan has set his eyes on 2019 polls in AP.
