Police bust Intermediate distance education scam, 7 held


Hyderabad: South Zone task force on Wednesday busted a scam in Telangana Open School Society’s distance education Intermediate exams. The task force officials arrested seven people that included teachers and students.

The officials said that the accused collected money from students assuring that they will arrange proxy candidates for writing the exams.

“They had collected question papers from examination centers before deploying proxy candidates,” an official said.

To execute the plan, two employees of Galaxy Junior College joined hands with the employees of City College and Vidyanikethan School.

Police nabbed Mohd Abdullah, Kodanda Rama Rao who work at Vidyanikethan School, Syed Saber lecturer at City College, Syed Arif, Syed Samad Hussain and Mohd Abdul Sharjeel who work at Galaxy Junior College and Mohd Afzal, a student.
