Sachin Tendulkar Gold Coin Can Now be Yours
A British coin manufacturing firm has released a legal tender gold cash worth 12,000 lb to honor the shining career of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. This extremely limited edition coin, developed by renowned coin designer Joaquin Jimenez, shows the stitching on a cricket ball in the backdrop, the Gateway of India to denote the cricketer’s hometown Mumbai, an autographed bat, and a cricket helmet bearing the BCCI insignia. ‘Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar 200th Test Match’ reads the text. Queen Elizabeth II is embossed on the other side of the coin.
East india Organization, the organization which created the cash, said that only 210 money, each with a weight of 200g, will be released to pay honor to the Indian cricketer. Collectors can preorder the ‘200th Test Match Gold Coin’ for 12,000 pound here . Other coins commemorating Sachin Tendulkar are 1oz ‘The World’s Greatest Batsman’ gold and a silver coins made by the same company.
“All my life, I have had a desire of playing cricket for india. I am very fortunate to have lived this dream for the last 24 years. I am honoured to be recognised with the issue of these special coins, which have been impressively designed with a lot of thought,” Tendulkar said to the Indian Express.
