Setback for TDP Government
TDP Government’s proposal to eliminate the power purchase agreements (PPA) made before division of the state creates havoc in Telangana government as it leaves in 615mw energy lack if applied. Hence, T Minister T. Harish rao minister highly protested Andhra Government authorities choice and requirements to instantly fall the choice, otherwise cautioned that T govt also will respond accordingly.
However, Electricity Regulatory Commission (ERC) has converted down APGENCO’s request for termination of PPAs. It mentioned that unless both governments believe the fact for terminations PPAs, it can’t eliminate the PPAs on APGENCO’s request. It mentioned that the present PPAs will proceed until the Middle takes a choice on this issue.
ERC also recommended both states two motivate private power production companies to avert this kind of problems in future. Hence, TDP govt lead by Chandrababu Naidu faces the first setback with ERC’s decision to proceed the current PPAs, with which AP state will have acute power shortage.
