Srinivasan Appionted as 1st ICC Chairman
The complete council accepted the amendments to the ICC’s Memorandum and Articles of Organization at the Annual Meeting, in Melbourne.

As was commonly known before the conference, Srinivasan was selected the Chairman despite being prohibited by the Superme Court of India from undertaking his responsibilities as BCCI President due to continuous research into the match-fixing accusations about the 2013 edition of the IPL.
However, after the Apex court refused to quit his nomination to the ICC place, decks were eliminated for his anointment to the newly-created post. The update will also side significant professional decision-making power to the ‘Big Three’ of the game – Indian, Sydney and Britain.
It is an honour to be verified as the Chairman of the International Cricket Council. I will keep no rock unchecked in trying to enhance the assistance beams and fundamentals of our game, both on and off the area, Srinivasan said in a declaration from the ICC.
I want to make sure that cricket maintains and develops its reputation, and that the ICC performs a significant part in this international development. I want to see more powerful groups in international cricket. For this to be achieved, we all need to work hard to develop local talent in our countries. Naturally, there will be more support to those who first show they can help themselves, he added Srinivasan congratulated outgoing ICC President Alan Isaac for his contribution. Mr Isaac has been an inspirational President of the ICC. He provided guidance to everyone during his two-year term and all three international formats remain incredibly popular. The game is unquestionably stronger than it was at the start of his term, said Srinivasan.
The acceptance of the constitutional changes, which ran from an ICC Board high quality taken in Singapore on Feb 8 and completed on Apr 10, also indicates that a new Executive Committee was established, which will report to the ICC Board.
