Acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visit to Pakistan in December 2015. He made these remarks in defense of filmmaker Karan Johar who is face the ire for casting Pak actor Fawad Khan in his upcoming flick ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
Anurag Kashyap: ‘The World must learn from us.. We solve all our problems by blaming it on movies and banning it.. #ADHM. With you on this @Karanjohar’.
The Director tweeted to PM: ‘@narendramodi Sir you haven’t yet said sorry for your trip to meet the Pakistani PM. It was dec 25th. Same time KJo was shooting ADHM? Why? Why is it that we have to face it while you can be silent?’.
Mr.Kashyap claimed he is complaining because he expects the Government to the citizens. He pointed out that Film Industry is paying the price but the real trade between India-Pak across the border is unaffected.
Twitter, on the other hand, blasted Anurag Kashyap for demanding PM’s apology as Modi hasn’t gone to Pak on a personal trip.
